NIST 800-171 Compliance Instructions Manual
This set of instructions is not required, but is provided as recommendations to help simplify compliance with the 110 controls of NIST 800-171. Other tools, services, and methods can be used to comply with the NIST 800-171 requirements, but the use of these instructions can make the process far easier.
The primary audience for this manual is the IT support professional and the primary target environments are the research lab and individual offices, although these can be used in other areas that require compliance.
